Tom came up to LG today with his classy new car for a visit. In honor of Mom, a year after her death, he brought a helium balloon to release. In typical Schulz fashion, the balloon got away in our great room when we were trying to fasten a note on it, and so a comedy routine ensued where I was hitting the balloon down from the balcony, using a duster on a stick, while Carol and Tom were running around downstairs trying to nab it before it went back up to an inaccessible area, all the while laughing hysterically, with Lucky barking at the top of her lungs and Annie going psycho behind her! Finally captured the balloon and tied on the note and sent it up outside. I hope Mom and Dad were laughing in heaven, and know how much they are missed. jan

Santa Claus came early tonight and gave the gift of music. There is a little music player on the bottom right hand side with some "Oldies but Goodies" for everyone to enjoy while reading the family's posts. You can also push the "pop out player" button and it will open in a new page and you can play the songs while you're on the internet. And yes, Santa does take requests. Just click on comments at the bottom of this post and leave your request. Santa will do his best to find what you're looking for!

So everybody knows, this Sunday, 12/7, at 4 PM, there is a Xmas Tree Memorial & Program at the funeral home where we had mom's service, in memory of the people lost this year. There will be clergy, musicians, singers, and lighting of the tree with the memorial ornaments, with refreshments afterwards. Beth and I will probably go. Know it's not the most convenient time, but let me know if you're interested. Jan

This was a great idea!!! I posted some pics from the reunion and even a video. I haven't posted before, so I hope it looks okay. I probably should have done this without a 2 & 4 year old interrupting me, but then it would never get done. Great idea Lisa & Ashley!Don't know how effective I'll be at acessing & posting (this is my second draft-lost the first one) but am willing to learn. Maybe this will make me take time out from life's hectic schedules to keep in contact with those who matter most-family!! Going to attempt to post my first ever message and pictures. This is "Rocky" our new Great Pyrenees. I say "new" but we've had him for almost a year and no one's met him other than the " Flatlander Crew". No excuse there. How to post pictures:

1. Click on New post on the right side of the screen. It will bring you to the posting page.
2. Click on the tiny thumbnail that looks like a mountain scene at the top right of the posting box.
3. From there, you will probably want to press the button that says browse at the top, if your pictures are stored on your computer.
4. Find the file/files you are looking for on your computer, select them.
5. Once you have selected the picture, it will bring you back to the picture screen and you can decide on the size of the picture and positioning of the picture.
6. Once you are ready, press the orange button that says "upload image".
7. At this point, your image should have been properly uploaded!
8. If you want to add another picture, repeat steps 2 through 7.
8. Unfortunately this process is a little tedious because you have to add each picture one at a time but it is better than nothing!

Thanks so much to Jan and Girls for their hospitality. Visits are never long enough. Wish we lived closer, yada, yada, yada; but glad to be home. Will post pics as soon as I figure out how:)

Schulz Bucket Mania

Okay everyone, this is just a starter site, and I'm still working on making everything pretty. But inspired by Kristy's complaint that no one ever sends her pictures when they say they will, I decided to create a place where we could all post our pictures, stories, contact information, and maybe even our plans for the family reunion since we seem to screw that up every year. To post something, you have to log in using the email account I set up: theschulzs@gmail.com. I'll send you all the information you need via email. For those of you who aren't so technologically-inclined (ah-hem, aunts and uncles)...ask your kids for help if you get stuck. :)
